Former Real Housewives of Atlanta star Eva Marcille has expressed strong doubts that viewers will ever see her season of The Real Housewives: Ultimate Girls Trip, citing the controversy that has kept the Morocco-filmed installment shelved for more than three years.
"My Ultimate Girls Trip will never come out. I can definitely bet my bottom dollar there," Marcille, 41, told Us Weekly while promoting her series All the Queen's Men. The fourth season of Peacock's reality franchise completed production in January 2023 but has remained unreleased amid serious allegations and subsequent legal action.
The season featured an ensemble cast including Marcille, Vicki Gunvalson, Gretchen Rossi, Brandi Glanville, Camille Grammer Meyer, Phaedra Parks, Alex McCord, and Caroline Manzo. However, the production faced immediate backlash when reports emerged that Glanville, 53, and Manzo, 66, departed the trip early following an alleged incident in which Glanville kissed Manzo multiple times without her consent.
Glanville denied any wrongdoing, attributing the situation to both parties being "very intoxicated." Manzo, however, characterized the incident as "very traumatic" during an appearance on the Two T's in a Pod podcast before pursuing legal recourse.
In January 2024, Manzo filed a lawsuit against Bravo and its production companies. The legal filing alleged that Bravo regularly pressured cast members to consume alcohol "to cause them to become severely intoxicated, and then direct, encourage and/or allow them to sexually harass other cast members because that is for good ratings." Glanville was not named as a defendant in the lawsuit and maintained her innocence through social media statements in December 2023.
Bravo declined to comment on the accusations when contacted by media outlets at the time of the lawsuit's filing.
Despite the disappointment surrounding the unreleased season, Marcille expressed enthusiasm about the Ultimate Girls Trip concept itself. "I would absolutely do a Girls Trip again," she told Us Weekly. "One of the most fun things that I've ever done for housewives, honestly, is Ultimate Girls Trip, because it brings women that come from all different walks of life."
The reality star highlighted the cross-franchise connections the show fostered, noting that she developed a close friendship with cast member Dorinda Medley. "Dorinda, she's one of my greatest friends now and I would have never known her the way I do if not for Ultimate Girls Trip," Marcille told Us Weekly. She added with apparent irony, "Ultimate Girls Trip is a good time, so much so, you can't even see our season. That's how crazy it is."
While the Morocco season remains in limbo, Marcille has remained professionally active, currently starring in the fifth and final season of the Paramount+ series All the Queen's Men. She teased the upcoming series finale with considerable enthusiasm, revealing that producers withheld the final two episodes' scripts from her during the rapid production schedule to preserve the surprise.
"No one's ready," Marcille told Us Weekly of the finale. "When I tell you no one's ready, it's so serious. When I got my script for season 5, and the way we shoot, we shoot so fast, you have to know everything. They omitted the last two episodes, just so that I did not know. It's that juicy, no one will see this coming a mile away."
The shelving of Ultimate Girls Trip season four represents a significant loss for the franchise, which has successfully aired three previous seasons featuring various Real Housewives cast members in vacation settings. The legal complications and serious nature of the allegations appear to have created an insurmountable obstacle to the season's release, leaving the Morocco footage indefinitely archived.
