Paige Price Muniz has publicly defended her estranged husband Frankie Muniz after he removed their initial divorce announcement from social media following harsh criticism from internet users.

The 33-year-old addressed the situation directly on Wednesday, July 1, commenting on the actor's revised Instagram post. "Frankie, I am so sorry that you felt the need to delete an old fun video of our family because people are so cruel to you," Paige wrote, according to Us Weekly. "This world is so f***ed."

She continued her defense of their approach to the separation, stating: "Divorce is bad, sure — it's not like we're excited about it … but we're two adults who know how to be on the same team. I can't believe people could scrutinize that," Paige told Us Weekly.

The controversy began earlier Wednesday when Frankie, 40, announced via social media that he and Paige had ended their marriage after six years. The original post featured a video of the couple dancing with their 5-year-old son Maux to We The Kings' song "Check Yes Juliet" while Frankie provided what he described as a life update.

The announcement itself struck a notably amicable tone. "Following a period of separation that we kept private, Paige and I have decided to move forward with ending our marriage," the caption read. "After 10 beautiful years together, we've grown in ways that made us realize our relationship feels most natural and strong as a deep friendship and as coparents. The Malcolm in the Middle star expressed particular gratitude toward Paige's sacrifices during their relationship. The revised announcement retained the same caption but substituted a still photograph of the family for the video that had sparked criticism.
