Heidi Klum marked the 25th anniversary of her annual Halloween party with a costume that turned her own body into the spectacle: an eight-foot-tall replica of her bloody, severed left hand. The former "America's Got Talent" judge arrived at the event, held at the Moxy Hotel in New York City, in the gory and graphic ensemble, according to TMZ.com.
The oversized hand carried personal details, including the thumb ring for which the supermodel is known and the wedding band she wears for her husband, Tom Kaulitz. Instead of her signature red-soled shoes, Klum's feet were painted with red fingernails as part of the look.
The concept dates back to roughly a year before the event, when Klum was being fitted by Hollywood makeup artist Mike Marino for a Medusa costume. She recalled the moment in an interview with the New York Times, telling the publication: "I remember sitting in the chair, and I said to Mike, 'Do you want to know already my idea for next year?' And he's like, 'Please, no, I'm focusing on getting Medusa squared away, I can't handle this right now.'"
Marino later scanned Klum's hand so that the finished piece could reproduce the structure of her fingers in precise detail. The result was a costume that, as TMZ.com noted, gave new meaning to the phrase about knowing something like the back of one's own hand.
The party took place on November 1, 2026, continuing a tradition that has made Klum's Halloween appearances a recurring cultural event. Her costumes have long drawn attention for their elaborate prosthetics and theatrical scale, and this year's entry leaned on the same combination of personal reference and high-concept execution.
