Jimmy Butler Now Living With Ex After Custody Battle

Golden State Warriors small forward Jimmy Butler has moved in with his former girlfriend following an extended legal battle over their three children, according to court documents filed this week.

Kaitlin Nowak, Butler's ex-girlfriend and mother of his three children, submitted court filings indicating the former couple recently reached a comprehensive parenting plan agreement and are now residing together. The development marks a significant shift in a case that has been contentious since its inception in October 2023.

In her filing, Nowak stated that she is living with Butler and noted that additional circumstances exist which could be presented to the court, though she did not elaborate on those details in the submitted documents. She indicated her belief that the case will reach full resolution within the next 45 to 60 days and requested the judge maintain the case on the active docket given the progress made.

The legal proceedings began when Nowak filed a lawsuit concerning paternity and support in October 2023. Two months later, a judgment was entered declaring Butler as the biological father of the three children he shares with Nowak. At that time, the parties reached an initial agreement on child support arrangements.

Court documents revealed Butler had been providing Nowak with $55,000 per month in support, plus an additional $10,000 monthly for childcare expenses. The case saw continued disputes over more than a year, with Butler at one point asserting that his former partner was refusing to seek employment.

The apparent reconciliation of living arrangements suggests the former couple has worked through their differences regarding custody and parenting responsibilities. While the financial support structure established earlier in the case totaled $65,000 per month, the new living arrangement may alter those terms as part of the comprehensive agreement Nowak referenced in her filing.

Butler, who joined the Warriors organization, has maintained his professional basketball career throughout the legal proceedings. The resolution of the custody dispute and the decision to cohabitate represents a cooperative approach to co-parenting their three children following the extended court battle.
