JWoww Defends Intimate Wedding Guest List After Backlash

Reality television personality Jenni 'JWoww' Farley has issued a forceful response to individuals who publicly criticized her for not receiving invitations to her recent wedding, defending her decision to maintain an exclusive guest list for the intimate ceremony.

The Jersey Shore star posted a video to her Instagram account on Thursday, June 25, addressing the controversy that emerged following her surprise wedding to Zack Carpinello. In the direct message to critics, Farley argued that their public complaints validated her original decision to exclude them from the celebration.

"I'm doing this once because it's so infuriating that while I am trying to enjoy being a wife to my husband, I am now getting caught up in retweets and tabloids about who was invited and who wasn't invited, and who retweeted it, and who commented under it," Farley, 41, said in the video, speaking to Us Weekly.

The Jersey Shore: Family Vacation cast member emphasized that authentic relationships would not manifest in public grievances. She contended that genuine friends or family members would have addressed any concerns privately rather than airing complaints through social media platforms and entertainment publications.

"If you were a true friend, if you were a true family member, none of this would be public right now, you would have came to me," Farley stated, speaking to Us Weekly. "But you can't come to me, because then you can't play victim to your own fake-ass narrative, because the reality is the reality is less than 50 people were in it, and these 50 people would fucking go to jail for me. That is the fact."

Farley explained that the deliberately limited guest list consisted exclusively of individuals she trusted implicitly. She indicated that invitees were selected based on their unwavering loyalty and their ability to celebrate her happiness regardless of their own attendance status.

The reality star suggested that critics who took their complaints public demonstrated precisely why they were not included in the first place. Their response to the exclusion, she argued, revealed motivations centered on drama rather than genuine affection.

"You're in it for the wrong reason, you're not in it to show love, you're not in it for the most beautiful part of my life, which is getting married to the person I could not love more, while my children are by my side," Farley told Us Weekly. "You're in it for the fucking drama, and it's a fucking joke."

The wedding ceremony took place on Wednesday, June 24, at Madison Modern Social in Old Bridge, New Jersey. Guests arrived believing they were attending a film premiere for Farley's new movie, Nanny Cam, only to discover the venue had been transformed for a wedding celebration featuring deep red décor and elegant floral arrangements inspired by a modern Beauty and the Beast theme.

Old Bridge Mayor Debbie Walker officiated the ceremony. Farley's two children played meaningful roles in the celebration. She shares daughter Meilani, 11, and son Greyson, 10, with ex-husband Roger Mathews, from whom she separated in 2019.

Following the ceremony, Farley and Carpinello released a statement expressing gratitude for their intimate celebration. "After all these years together, being able to celebrate our love surrounded by the people who have supported us throughout our journey meant everything," the couple said in an exclusive statement to Us Weekly. "The day was filled with laughter, happy tears and so much gratitude. We couldn't be more excited for this next chapter of our lives."
