Kim Scott Hospitalized After Reported Suicide Attempt

Kim Scott, the former wife of rapper Eminem, was hospitalized Tuesday following a reported suicide attempt at her residence, according to emergency dispatch audio.

Emergency responders received a 911 call regarding a female patient who was bleeding, according to audio obtained by TMZ. The operator subsequently requested assistance for a suicide attempt, noting that Scott, 51, was unconscious at the time.

Paramedics transported Scott from her home on a stretcher to a local hospital on Tuesday, July 14. The nature of her treatment has not been disclosed, and Scott has not issued any public statement regarding the incident.

Scott and Eminem, 53, share a complicated history that spans two marriages. The pair wed in 1999 and divorced in 2001, then remarried briefly in 2006 before separating again after three months. Together they have daughter Hailie Jade, 30. Eminem also adopted Alaina, the biological daughter of Scott's sister, and Steve, Scott's son from a previous relationship.

Despite their tumultuous marital history, the former couple maintained a cooperative relationship focused on raising their children. A source told Us Weekly in 2013 that the two had developed a functional co-parenting arrangement.

"They really have a great relationship now as parents," the source told Us Weekly. "They are together all the time for the sake of the kids. ... Despite everything Em has been through, he's always been an amazing father, and always had a place in his heart for Kim because of their history and the kids."

Following his second divorce from Scott, Eminem largely kept his personal life private. In a 2017 interview with Vulture, the rapper acknowledged the challenges of dating in the public eye.

"It's tough. Since my divorce I've had a few dates and nothing's panned out in a way that I wanted to make it public," Eminem told Vulture. "Dating's just not where I'm at lately."

More recently, a source informed Us Weekly in 2025 that Eminem was dating his longtime hair stylist Katrina Malota, though neither party has confirmed the relationship publicly.

Both Eminem and Scott have become grandparents in recent years. Hailie Jade gave birth to her son Elliott in March 2025, while Alaina welcomed daughter Scottie in April 2026.
