Former "Teen Mom" personality Mackenzie Edwards has secured temporary custody of the two children she shares with ex-husband Ryan Edwards, following allegations that he relapsed on drugs. A Tennessee judge issued a court order on Thursday, September 24, 2026, that significantly limits Ryan Edwards' access to the children, according to TMZ.com.
The ruling permits Ryan Edwards to see his children only at his parents' residence. Furthermore, the judge prohibited him from driving or transporting the children. These restrictions were reported by Us Weekly, as cited by TMZ.com.
The order also extends to Ryan Edwards' current wife, Amanda Conner. She is barred from supervising the children, driving them, or being alone with them. Additionally, Ryan Edwards, who has a history of multiple arrests, must submit to fingernail drug testing as part of the court's requirements.
Mackenzie Edwards filed an emergency petition claiming that Ryan Edwards had allegedly used Kratom, an herbal substance that is banned in Tennessee. Her legal team stated that the custody modification is intended to ensure the children's safety and that she wishes for them to maintain a relationship with Ryan Edwards' parents.
The former couple married in 2017 and finalized their divorce in 2025. Ryan Edwards then married Amanda Conner a few weeks later.
