MudHen’s HarvestFest Brings Pumpkins, Circus Performers and Live Music to Wildwood

WILDWOOD — Pumpkin painting, circus performers, dueling pianos, live music and seasonal beer will all be part of a daylong fall celebration coming to Wildwood this weekend.

MudHen Brewing Company will host its HarvestFest on Sunday, Oct. 18, with activities spread between MudHen and The Station House at 127 W. Rio Grande Ave.

The event combines free children's activities with live entertainment, food and fall-themed drinks, offering something for families as well as adults looking to enjoy an autumn afternoon in Wildwood.

“HarvestFest is a great way to celebrate the fall season at MudHen,” organizers said. “From pumpkin painting and face painting to live music, circus performers, and seasonal beer, it’s a fun autumn event for families, locals, and visitors to enjoy.”

Free fall activities for kids

Families can take advantage of free pumpkin painting and free face painting from noon to 4 p.m.

Circus performers will join the festivities from 1 to 4 p.m., adding another family-friendly attraction to the afternoon.

The activities come as Wildwood continues its transition from the summer tourism season into a fall calendar that includes festivals, special events and weekend entertainment.

Live music throughout the day

Music gets underway before noon.

Philly Keys Dueling Pianos will perform from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. in MudHen's Biergarten.

The entertainment then shifts to The Station House, where Fat Mezz is scheduled to perform from 2 to 6 p.m.

That provides seven consecutive hours of scheduled live entertainment between the two venues.

A toast to fall

For adults, one of HarvestFest's featured attractions will be a special beer toast featuring Nummy Pumpkin, MudHen's Autumnal Brown Ale.

According to the brewery, the seasonal beer is brewed with pumpkin, brown sugar, vanilla bean and seasonal spices.

A special pop-up bar will also operate during the celebration.

MudHen opened in Wildwood in 2018 and has developed into a year-round brewpub and entertainment destination, with craft beer, a scratch kitchen, live entertainment and seasonal events.

HarvestFest schedule

HarvestFest takes place at MudHen Brewing Company and The Station House, 127 W. Rio Grande Ave., Wildwood.

There is no admission charge listed in the event announcement, and the pumpkin painting and face painting are specifically advertised as free.

For families looking for a fall outing — or adults simply looking for some live music and a taste of autumn — HarvestFest offers another reason to head to Wildwood long after the summer beach season has ended.
