Bryson Bryant, the eldest son of former 'Real Housewives of Atlanta' star NeNe Leakes, was arrested on May 1 in Georgia and remains behind bars on multiple charges, including failure to pay child support and violating probation from a previous criminal case.
The 36-year-old was taken into custody on three charges: failure to pay child support, violating his probation in a separate criminal case, and failure to appear for a court hearing, according to TMZ. The court set his bond at $27,000, and Bryant has not been released.
The probation violation stems from a 2024 case in which Bryant was found in possession of alleged Fentanyl. During that incident, he reportedly provided false information to law enforcement by identifying himself as his younger brother, Brentt Leakes, which resulted in an additional charge of giving false information to an officer.
That 2024 case concluded with Bryant receiving a sentence of 12 months of probation. The terms of his probation required him to complete 40 hours of community service, undergo a drug evaluation, and submit to random drug testing. However, newly filed court documents reveal that Bryant's probation officer has claimed he failed to complete any of the required terms of his probation.
The arrest represents the latest legal trouble for Bryant, whose mother has publicly addressed his struggles in the past. NeNe Leakes has previously stated that she has attempted to help her son seek assistance on numerous occasions.
The case highlights ongoing challenges within the family of the reality television personality, who gained fame through her appearances on the Bravo network's long-running franchise. As Bryant remains in custody, the legal proceedings continue to unfold in Georgia courts.
