North Wildwood Celebrates America's 250th Anniversary with Street Festival

Our community is gearing up for a spectacular celebration of American history and local pride. The City of North Wildwood invites residents and visitors to Stars, Stripes & Anglesea Nights, a patriotic street festival honoring America's 250th anniversary on Thursday, July 2, from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

The vibrant Anglesea Entertainment District along Olde New Jersey Avenue will transform into a festive red, white, and blue celebration, bringing together food, music, and Revolutionary-era pageantry in one of the Jersey Shore's most beloved neighborhoods.

A Festival for All Ages

This special America 250-themed edition of Anglesea Nights promises an evening packed with entertainment and community spirit. Twelve of the region's top food trucks will line the streets, offering diverse culinary options for every taste. Local market vendors will showcase unique merchandise and handmade goods, giving festivalgoers the chance to support small businesses while finding one-of-a-kind treasures.

Families can enjoy stilt walkers and street performers entertaining throughout the evening, creating a carnival-like atmosphere that captures the joy of summer at the shore. The highlight of the evening will be a special appearance by the renowned Philly Fife & Drum Corps, bringing Revolutionary-era music and patriotic pageantry to the streets of Anglesea.

Celebrating Community and Country

As communities across the nation begin commemorating America's 250th anniversary—also known as the semiquincentennial—North Wildwood is stepping up to honor this historic milestone in true Jersey Shore fashion. The event combines the beloved elements of the popular Anglesea Nights festival series with special patriotic tributes, creating a memorable experience that connects our local community to the broader national celebration.

"North Wildwood has long been known for its strong sense of community and patriotic pride," said Sea Dog Events' Barbara Shenkus. "This America 250 celebration combines the best elements of our popular Anglesea Nights festival with a special tribute to our nation's upcoming semiquincentennial, creating a memorable evening for all ages."

The Anglesea Entertainment District has become one of North Wildwood's most popular summer gathering spots, and this festival offers the perfect opportunity for families, residents, and vacationers to come together in celebration. Attendees can stroll along Olde New Jersey Avenue, taking in the festive outdoor setting while enjoying live music, specialty vendors, and family-friendly activities.
