Orlando Bloom Lists Malibu Beach House for $10 Million

Actor Orlando Bloom has officially listed his Western Malibu beachfront residence for sale, with the property entering the market Friday at an asking price of $10 million, according to real estate sources.

The gated estate represents a substantial appreciation from Bloom's original investment. The actor acquired the property in 2011 alongside his then-wife, Miranda Kerr, for approximately $2.5 million. The sale would mark a fourfold return on that initial purchase price over the fifteen-year ownership period.

The residence spans approximately 4,181 square feet and includes four bedrooms and five bathrooms. Positioned directly above the sand, the property offers immediate beach access and unobstructed views of the Pacific Ocean, making it one of the more desirable coastal holdings in the Western Malibu corridor.

The mid-century structure underwent extensive restoration and redesign under the direction of Roy McMakin, a distinguished artist and furniture designer. McMakin's work preserved the home's original post-and-beam architectural framework while incorporating custom cabinetry, built-in features, millwork, and distinctive design elements throughout the interior spaces.

The interior layout provides considerable flexibility, featuring dual primary suites that could accommodate extended family or guests. Additional rooms include an expansive kitchen paired with a family room, a dedicated media room, a library, a den, and an unusual amenity for residential properties: a motorcycle gallery.

Exterior amenities extend the living space significantly. The grounds include a glass-and-timber gymnasium, a barrel sauna, an outdoor soaking tub, a swimming pool, and multiple entertainment areas with both open patios and covered terraces that capitalize on the oceanfront setting.

Practical features include a five-car garage with space for four additional vehicles on the property. Mature hedges provide privacy screening, while advanced security systems protect the estate. The combination of luxury appointments and functional infrastructure positions the property for buyers seeking both comfort and security in a beachfront setting.

The listing arrives during a period of personal transition for Bloom. The actor recently ended his relationship with Katy Perry after nearly a decade together, though the former couple remains focused on co-parenting their daughter, Daisy.

For prospective buyers, the property's primary attraction may be its direct connection to one of Malibu's most sought-after beach stretches, accessible via steps from the residence. The Western Malibu location offers relative seclusion while maintaining proximity to the broader Los Angeles metropolitan area.

Carl Gambino and John Bersci of the Gambino Group at Compass hold the listing for the property.
