According to Philadelphia Police, no one filed an official report regarding the incident, which occurred during Kahan's Friday performance at the venue. Without a formal complaint, no investigation has been initiated despite significant attention on social media platforms.
The incident gained widespread attention after concertgoer Chelsea Dubow captured video footage that subsequently went viral online. Kahan himself addressed the situation on X, the social media platform, urging fans not to defecate in their seats during performances.
Speaking on "TMZ Live" on Monday, Dubow clarified that she did not personally witness the alleged act. However, she reported connecting with another attendee who was seated directly behind the accused individual. That witness claimed the incident was intentional, according to Dubow's account to TMZ.
Dubow did confirm one detail from her own observation: her husband stepped in the alleged fecal matter during the concert, making the experience particularly unpleasant for those in the immediate vicinity.
The Philadelphia Police Department's decision not to pursue the matter appears final, absent any formal complaint being filed. The department indicated to TMZ that without an official report, there is no basis for launching an investigation into the bathroom-related incident.
