Chicago-based rapper Famous Dex was arrested on domestic battery charges following allegations of violent assaults against his former girlfriend across two states over consecutive days in August, according to a police report obtained by TMZ.
The alleged victim has been identified by law enforcement sources as Pam Rodriguez, a reality television personality. While Rodriguez's name appears redacted in the official police documentation, authorities confirmed her identity to the outlet.
The first alleged incident occurred on August 21 at the Burbank Hotel in Burbank, California. According to the police report, Dex was allegedly under the influence of alcohol and multiple drugs when he struck Rodriguez in the face, causing visible bruising around her eye.
The pair, who had been in a romantic relationship for three weeks at the time, subsequently traveled from Burbank to Las Vegas, where they checked into the California Hotel and Casino.
The following evening, the alleged violence escalated. Police reports indicate Dex threw a mobile phone at Rodriguez, striking her left elbow. He then allegedly scratched her neck and choked her, though she did not lose consciousness during the assault.
Rodriguez managed to obtain Dex's phone and contacted her twin sister, who assisted in connecting her with hotel security personnel. She was subsequently transported to a local hospital emergency room for treatment.
At the hospital, Rodriguez told a police officer that Dex had urged her to fabricate a story about her injuries, suggesting she claim she had been jumped by multiple assailants in order to prevent his arrest, according to the police report.
The alleged attempt to obstruct the investigation proved unsuccessful. Dex was taken into custody and charged with domestic battery.
