Reality television personality Pedro Jimeno announced his engagement to Valentina Malagon on Tuesday, June 23, marking a new chapter in his personal life four years after his divorce from former wife Chantel Everett.
The 34-year-old former 90 Day Fiancé star shared the news through a video posted to Instagram, revealing that he proposed to Malagon during a trip to Hawaii. The announcement comes as Jimeno continues to rebuild his life following his high-profile split from Everett in 2022.
"Me and Valentina, we got a big, big announcement to tell you because we are engaged! We are going to get married," Jimeno said in the video. "I proposed to Valentina in Hawaii."
The proposal itself featured an element of surprise that initially caught Malagon off guard. Jimeno recounted how he deliberately misled his girlfriend about their destination, claiming they were heading to an upscale restaurant. The reality proved quite different from his description.
"The day of the proposal, I [said], 'We are going to go to the best place in Hawaii, to the best restaurant.' And we drive an hour away," Jimeno explained in the video. "When we went to the place it was nothing, in the middle of nowhere. And she was like, 'Really? It's not a restaurant here.' She was a little pissed because she was hungry. But I got it done!"
Malagon confirmed in the announcement that while the proposal caught her completely by surprise, the experience proved to be memorable and positive. The couple indicated they plan to begin wedding preparations in the near future, considering three potential locations for their ceremony: Colombia, the Dominican Republic, or the United States.

"My life [has] changed with Valentina. She loves me a lot," he stated in the video before the couple sealed the announcement with an affectionate kiss.
