Sarah Paulson Marks One Year Since Diane Keaton's Death

Sarah Paulson marked the first anniversary of Diane Keaton's death on Sunday, October 11, 2026, posting a tribute to Instagram that included a throwback photograph of the two women laughing alongside Keaton's daughter, Dexter White.

The image shows the three bundled in winter clothing, with Keaton raising a hand in the air while Paulson laughs beside her. Paulson kept her caption brief, writing, "One year. Impossible. Laughing with you will always be what I remember most. I love you."

Keaton died October 11, 2025 at age 79. Her family later confirmed pneumonia as the cause of death.

The bond between the two actresses took root when they worked together on the 1999 film "The Other Sister," and their friendship continued for more than twenty years afterward.

Paulson's grief was evident in the days immediately following Keaton's death, when she spoke emotionally about her friend's legacy. According to TMZ.com, Paulson described Keaton as a dear friend and said that the woman she knew was even more remarkable than the actress audiences admired.

A year after the loss, Paulson's post suggests she continues to treasure the moments of joy the two shared, particularly the laughter that defined their time together.
