Donald Trump Jr. and Kimberly Guilfoyle have maintained complete silence with one another for nearly two years, according to reporting from TMZ.com, which cites a person familiar with the situation. The former couple, who ended their engagement in 2024, reportedly have had no communication since their split — a period during which Guilfoyle remained connected to the Trump administration until just days ago.
The reporting indicates the separation was not marked by any bitter or nasty fallout. The two simply went their separate ways and have not spoken since, the source told TMZ.com.
The revelation arrives as Guilfoyle faces a widening scandal that culminated in the loss of her post as U.S. Ambassador to Greece. President Donald Trump has publicly put distance between himself and his son's former fiancée. Speaking to reporters on Wednesday, Trump stated that Guilfoyle was never a member of his family, minimizing their connection by noting she had dated his son a long time ago.
Guilfoyle resigned on Tuesday after Trump requested that she step down. The resignation followed allegations of misconduct, among them a claim that she asked a political donor to settle her $100K American Express bill in return for access to administration officials.
According to The Wall Street Journal, Guilfoyle attempted to preserve her position by informing White House officials that damaging text messages allegedly sent to Trump donor Eric Deters had been fabricated using A.I. Deters has maintained that the messages are authentic. Guilfoyle has denied any wrongdoing and has pledged to defend her reputation.
The couple's relationship began in 2018 and progressed to an engagement before ending in 2024. Donald Trump Jr. has since remarried, wedding Bettina Anderson in May.
