Veterans' Benefits and Health Fair Returning to Wildwoods Convention Center Sept. 23

WILDWOOD — Veterans, active-duty military members and their families will have an opportunity to connect with dozens of organizations offering benefits, health services and support programs during the second annual Veterans' Benefits & Health Fair in Cape May County next month.

The free event will take place Wednesday, Sept. 23, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Wildwoods Convention Center, 4501 Boardwalk, Wildwood.

Hosted by CVAC of Cape May, the fair will bring together more than 80 organizations providing information on veterans' benefits, healthcare, financial assistance, housing resources and other services available to current and former members of the military.

Among the featured offerings are Veterans Affairs services and support, Wills for Warriors, health screenings, free flu shots, a complimentary lunch for veterans, and a special guest speaker.

Organizers say the event is designed to make it easier for veterans and their families to access multiple services in one location while learning about programs available at the local, state and federal levels.

Walk-ins are welcome, although advance registration is encouraged.

The event is open to all veterans, active-duty military personnel and their families.

The Veterans' Benefits & Health Fair has grown since its inaugural event and is expected to draw representatives from government agencies, nonprofit organizations, healthcare providers and veterans service groups from throughout the region.

The event is supported by numerous community organizations and local sponsors working together to expand access to services for veterans across Cape May County and southern New Jersey.
