Former NFL star Adrian Peterson has completed over 30 hours of community service, bringing his 2025 DWI criminal case close to resolution, according to court documents obtained by TMZ.com.
The records show Peterson accumulated the hours between July 13 and July 30, working four-hour shifts at Meals on Wheels, a local food drive, a program supervising youth bags for the homeless, a July 4th event for senior citizens, and a YMCA program.
Peterson had been required to perform 32 hours of community service as part of a plea agreement reached with Minnesota prosecutors in March 2026, and the newly filed documentation indicates that obligation has now been met.
The presiding judge also imposed a jail sentence but suspended it, and directed Peterson to appear before a victim impact panel and undergo an alcohol screening.
The charges stem from an April 2025 traffic stop. According to TMZ.com, Peterson was returning from a Vikings NFL Draft Party when officers pulled him over at 3:30 AM after clocking him driving 83 mph in a 55 mph zone. Police reported a .14 BAC. TMZ.com also obtained photographs showing Peterson asleep at the wheel before the stop and handcuffing.
With the community service requirement satisfied, the case moves toward final closure, though the suspended jail term and other conditions remain in effect.
