Lynn Krieger, the wife of The Doors guitarist Robby Krieger, has died at the age of 79, according to TMZ.com, which first reported the death on Saturday, October 31, 2026.
Sources with direct knowledge told TMZ.com that Lynn died in her sleep on Thursday following a lengthy illness. Paramedics were dispatched to the couple's Beverly Hills residence shortly before noon for a possible cardiac arrest, but fire and police personnel found her already dead upon arrival. Law enforcement also received a call classified as a natural death. Her official cause of death has not been determined.
The couple's history traces back to 1967, when Lynn first encountered Robby and the other members of The Doors at a nightclub in New York City. The two wed five years later, in 1972, and raised a son, Waylon.
Robby Krieger, a founding member of the Los Angeles rock band, is known for his work on enduring recordings including "Light My Fire" and "Riders on the Storm." The Doors, fronted by Jim Morrison, became one of the most influential groups of the 1960s. Lynn's death marks a personal loss for the guitarist and for the extended community of Doors fans who have followed the band's history for decades.
No public memorial arrangements have been announced. The family has not issued a statement.
