Michael Blackson Settles Child Support Case with Ex

Comedian Michael Blackson, known for his appearances on "Love & Hip Hop: Miami," has finalized a child support settlement with Nadia Beddini concerning their son Kweku, according to legal documents obtained by TMZ.

The settlement, approved by a judge, establishes that Blackson will provide $4,500 in monthly child support payments for the nearly one-year-old child. Additionally, the comedian has agreed to pay $5,000 toward Beddini's legal fees incurred during the proceedings.

The custody arrangement grants both parents joint legal and physical custody of Kweku. This structure ensures the child will spend time with each parent while both share decision-making authority on significant matters affecting the child's health, education, and overall welfare.

The legal documents include specific provisions regarding international travel. Blackson must obtain written approval from Beddini before taking Kweku outside the United States. Conversely, Beddini may travel internationally with their son provided she furnishes written notice and a detailed itinerary to Blackson. The pair have previously traveled to Ghana together to introduce Kweku to Blackson's family.

The settlement comes amid a complex personal situation for the comedian. Kweku was born within two months of Blackson's son with his former fiancée, Rada Darling. The proximity of the births created considerable attention when details emerged during filming of "Love & Hip Hop."

Beddini previously told TMZ that she and Blackson had maintained a friendship for years before their relationship evolved, and that the pregnancy was planned. She indicated that Darling was aware of their relationship. However, Darling offered a different perspective to TMZ, acknowledging she knew other women were part of Blackson's life but did not fully understand the extent of his relationship with Beddini until the pregnancy became public knowledge during the reality show's production.

Despite the complicated circumstances, Darling expressed hope to TMZ that her son with Blackson, Michael Jr., and Kweku would develop a relationship as they grow up. The joint custody arrangement now in place appears to create opportunities for the half-brothers to spend time together as they mature.

The settlement represents a resolution to the legal proceedings between Blackson and Beddini, establishing clear financial obligations and parenting responsibilities moving forward. Both parties agreed to all terms before the judge formalized the arrangement.
