GALLOWAY TOWNSHIP — A motorcyclist was killed Friday night after police say another vehicle pulled out of a driveway and into the path of the motorcycle on the White Horse Pike.

The crash happened at approximately 8:46 p.m. Aug. 14 near the intersection of U.S. Route 30 and South Odessa Avenue, according to the Galloway Township Police Department.

Police said the motorcycle was traveling west on the White Horse Pike when another vehicle exited a driveway onto the highway and failed to yield to the approaching motorcycle.

The motorcycle collided with the vehicle, throwing the rider from the bike.

The motorcyclist suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead following the crash.

Police had not publicly released the motorcyclist's identity as of Monday morning.

The driver and a passenger in the other vehicle were not injured.

The White Horse Pike was closed for approximately three hours as police investigated the crash and crews worked at the scene.

Police reported that weather conditions were clear and the roadway was dry at the time of the collision.

The crash remains under investigation by the Galloway Township Police Department Traffic Unit.

Anyone who witnessed the crash or has information that could assist investigators is asked to contact Officer K. Reyes or Officer S. Estrella of the Galloway Township Police Department Traffic Unit at 609-652-3705.
